Iris is both an interesting flower for botanists and a source of inspiration for designers. It has symmetries, but also unique shapes and elegant contours.

In this video I create three designs inspired by the Iris reticulata flower: one suggested by the top view of the flower and two by the side views.

Designs like these can be used in logos, patterns or designing complex products. Or they can be just inserted as original elements in more traditional botanical works.
