A drawing of Fragaria (strawberry) from the garden, spreading its stolons. Fragaria, 2020 21 x 30 cm, brown ink and white chalk on recycled paper
These little blue-lavender flowers are among the first to be spotted in the early spring, in the forest. This particular one, Hepatica Transsilvanica, is endemic to Romanian woodlands and you can distinguish it from the more common Hepatica nobilis by its crenate leaf margins. Thank you for reading!
